The 2012 EULAR (European League Against Rheumatism) Annual Congress meeting was held in Berlin, Germany, June 6-9. The international event showcased research data on rheumatic and immunological diseases with a major focus on rheumatoid arthritis (RA). In total there were over 3,000 abstract posters presented, while research for RA spanned new pathway targets, head-to-head clinical trials with marketed drugs, safety and efficacy profiles of current marketed drugs and upcoming pipeline compounds, and diagnostic criteria for early treatment decisions.
